DTDC Tracking

If you've shipped anything across India recently, chances are it moved on a DTDC waybill at some point. DTDC runs one of the country's largest delivery networks, reaching thousands of pin codes through a mix of company branches and franchise channel partners. Drop your consignment number into Parceler and we'll pull the latest scan, so you don't have to dig through DTDC's site whenever a parcel goes quiet.

Local coverage and last-mile delivery — most often the final leg of a marketplace or e-commerce order.

About DTDC

DTDC Express Limited is a Bengaluru-headquartered courier and logistics company founded in 1990 by Subhasish Chakraborty. It grew on the back of a franchise-driven model that let it push into smaller towns and semi-urban pin codes long before most rivals, and that channel-partner network is still a defining feature of how DTDC reaches addresses across India. GeoPost (the parcel arm of France's La Poste / DPDgroup) is a major shareholder with a significant minority stake of roughly 40 percent, while founder Subhasish Chakraborty retains majority control of the company.

In practice, a DTDC parcel is picked up or dropped at a branch or franchise, bagged to a regional hub, line-hauled to the destination city, and then handed to a last-mile partner for delivery against the consignment (CN) number on the docket. That CN number is the single thread that ties every scan together, which is why it's the only thing you need to follow a shipment from booking to doorstep.

DTDC tracking number format: DTDC consignment (CN) numbers are usually alphanumeric, commonly around 9 characters such as a letter prefix followed by digits (for example D12345678), though some bookings and e-commerce reference numbers can differ in length and format.

Where this carrier fits

What a regional carrier handles

Regional and last-mile carriers specialise in a country or area, frequently picking up where a larger network or marketplace leaves off.

Last-mile delivery

They often handle just the final leg to your door after a marketplace or partner network moves the parcel into the region.

Focused coverage area

Deep coverage in their home country or region means dense scans locally and fewer once a parcel leaves that area.

Marketplace volume

Much of their work is e-commerce, so tracking numbers commonly arrive straight from a store rather than the carrier.

Lockers & pickup points

Many offer parcel lockers or pickup points as an alternative to a doorstep delivery attempt.

Two ways to track DTDC

Either method works. Parceler is faster when you order from multiple carriers and want one timeline for everything.

Option A · Carrier site

Track on DTDC.com

  1. 1. Find your DTDC consignment number (CN) — it's printed on the docket, the booking SMS, or the seller's shipping confirmation email.
  2. 2. Go to dtdc.in and look for the 'Track' box on the homepage (also available under the Track / Tracking menu).
  3. 3. Choose to track by consignment number, paste in your CN, and submit to pull the current status and scan history.
  4. 4. If you have several shipments, DTDC lets you enter multiple consignment numbers at once, separated by commas.
  5. 5. Or skip the hunting and enter the same number into Parceler, which fetches DTDC's scans and keeps watching the parcel for you.
Option B · Parceler (recommended)

Track on Parceler

  1. 1. Paste your DTDC number above. No sign-up.
  2. 2. Parceler auto-detects the carrier — no dropdown to pick from.
  3. 3. See every scan event, location, and timestamp on a single timeline.
  4. 4. Optionally subscribe to push or email alerts for status changes.
Side by side

Parceler vs. DTDC's native tracking

The carrier's own site shows the data they own. Parceler unifies every leg — including the partner handoff at the border — and adds tools the carrier doesn't.

FAQ

DTDC tracking — questions answered

Most DTDC CN numbers are alphanumeric and roughly 9 characters long — typically a letter or two followed by digits, like D12345678. E-commerce order references can look different, so always use the consignment number on the docket or in the carrier's SMS for the most reliable result.
